Ahead of EYOF, the selected gymnasts Teaja James (City of Birmingham), Amelie Morgan (The Academy), and Zoe Simmons (The Academy) were joined by new internationals Phoebe Jakubczyk (The Academy) and Sioned Thomas (Swansea) as they headed to Esslingen-Berkheim Germany to take on France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

In the team competition, it was no surprise to see the Italian team triumph, they are enjoying a golden era of juniors coming through, their strongest generation yet, and they will be tough to beat both at EYOF, and junior European championships next year.

The British team finished in third place behind Italy and France today, it was very close for silver and bronze, with France on 153.800, and 153.300.

Team results:

1. Italy 157.00
2. France 153.800
3. Great Britain 153.300
4. Switzerland 148.400
5. Germany 148.150

Individually a great result for Taeja James, equal first, and top scorer on floor by some way even with an out of bounds. Β Also she can score a tiny bit more on beam, although this was a great routine, and a lot higher on bars in particular where today she didn’t compete at full difficulty.

Videos are up below results, keep checking back, as I will add to them as them as they continue to be uploaded.
